Tried but "Failed"

It is sometimes useful to discuss the successes that we have had along with the failures or the projects/papers that did not work out - at least, not as planned.  Actually, it is not clear to what extent these were failures because they all were experienced, led to reflection and then some kind of output.  As Nas would say, they were "never on schedule, but always on time."
